Teaching activities

Department offers courses in:

general food technology, food analysis, carbohydrates technology, potatoes and fermentation industry technologies, lipids and chocolate technologies, storage, information technology, plant raw materials technology, food commodity analysis.

 

Research topics

  1. Starch modification for food (resistant starch of prebiotic and textural properties) and non-food purposes (production of starch carrier for microorganisms immobilization).
  2. Raw materials, technological and storage factors affecting the potato products quality.
  3. Technology of potato protein production.
  4. Thermooxidative transformations of frying fats.
  5. New methods of ethanol production with the use of unconventional substrates and microorganisms.
  6. Utilization of traditional and unconventional raw materials for beer, extracts and alcoholic drinks production.
  7. Analyses of biologically active compounds in patato.
